Learn to pick the best ingredients.

Great tasting food starts with high-quality (not necessarily expensive) ingredients.  Our method of cooking works with any vegetable, so you can pick what is fresh and not be limited to a specific recipe.

 

2.

Minimize prep time.

When you’re not limited to a specific recipe, you can make impromptu decisions about how much prep time you want to spend. We’ll show you how to prep efficiently, as well as how to get faster each time you cook.

Keep the crisp in the veg.

Gone are the sad days of soggy veggie slop after spending all that time and energy.  We’ll show you how to cook veggies that are full of flavour and crunch.

Enjoy more time eating, not doing dishes.

After your belly is full and content, the last thing you want to do is spend a few hours doing dishes.  We teach an approach that is continuously mindful of (perhaps even obsessed about!) minimizing pots, dishes, and tools.

Hi, I’m Karen Wong.

I believe that people shouldn’t have to spend a ton of effort to make healthy and delicious meals at home.  I created Asian Food Lab to teach a vegetable-first way of cooking that meets you where you are, at any time, so that you can always eat well.
